Class Updates and Homework:
Math
In math this year we will take regular quizzes for each standard in each unit. The student's quiz scores will comprise their class score. Students will be allowed to correct their quizzes if they did not show that they know the material on the quiz. The purpose of this system is to get students to focus on their learning and not just their grade. Student who wish to retake a quiz will be asked to correct their first quiz, study, and review the content. They can retake the quiz before school, after school, or at recess. On Friday students completed their first quiz in Unit #1. Quizzes were passed back today. Unit #1 is about ratios and proportional relationships. The Kansas College and Career Ready standards for math can be found at the Kansas State Department of Education website.Homework:
