Week of 3/13/17- 3/17/17

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND REMINDERS:

·      There will be no EDL on Thursday 3/16
·      There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday 3/17
·      The 6th grade will be having a Spring Party on Thursday 3/16. Students from each class on the party committee will be asked to help bring treats to help us celebrate. If the weather is nice we will play games outside, please have students dress in tennis shoes.
·      Next week is Spring Break. There will be No School from 3/20- 3/24.
·      Students with an F in any class will be required to work on missing work or corrections during the Spring Party on Thursday as well as other fun activities coming up (FIT 6, picnic, etc.). This is consistent with both AMS and EMS policies.


HOMEWORK

Math:
We are finishing our algebra unit by working on writing and graphing inequalities. Students will have a test over Unit #4 on Thursday. There will be a test review given to students on Wednesday. The test review is worth 2 pts. of extra credit on their test. It is due on Thursday. Students may use one sheet of notes on their test.

Science:
Thursday – current events and voyage of the Mimi video

Language Arts:
Continuing Literature Circles this week. Students should have read most of their book by Thursday and have answered questions for Days 1-10 by Thursday. They have an individual assignment to complete about their book and received that assignment sheet on Friday of last week. Students may need to read over Spring Break if their group has not read to their goal by Day 10.

Vocabulary this week is Lesson 24 “di, du” meaning “two.” The quiz will be on Thursday of this week, since there is no school Friday.
