Week of 2/27- 3/3

This week students will be learning to solve one and two-step equations. They will also we working on writing equations.

Language Arts
We are starting a Literature Circle unit in which students will pick a book to read with a small group. Most, if not all, of the reading will be done in class, but students may occasionally have some reading to do at home, depending upon the book their group chooses today. Ask them about the novel they are reading! Individual projects will be due after spring break, and I will give students information about this next week.

Students will write a short essay this week, due Friday, comparing and contrasting the effect of different media on the experience of a traditional tale (i.e. movie, storytelling, illustrated book)

Root word of the week is “mono” meaning “one.” Definitions due Wednesday, activity due Thursday, Quiz on Friday.
